UK: House of Dreams

One bad thing about my Philadelphia work trip was that I couldn't share the fun parts with Olly who was at home working. Philadelphia's Magic Gardens were definitely the one thing I wish he could have done, so I had a Google to see what we could do in the UK that was similar. Enter, the House of Dreams.

Thankfully we didn't have to go far either as the House of Dreams is just over in East Dulwich. It's the vision of Stephen Wright who has lived there since the early 80s, but it was in 1998 that he started transforming it into the museum you see today.

You can't take photos inside, so here's what I can share from the outside spaces. There are lots of quotes to look out for, as well as curiosities aplenty that Stephen has gathered over the years. He was in the house when we visited last November and we had a chat with him about his art.

If you want to see it for yourself, the house is open once a month - tickets can be booked here. What do you think? x
