What happened:
Went to the Hayward Gallery to see the Yin Xiuzhen: Heart to Heart exhibition and Chiharu Shiota: Threads of Life. Plus revisted the Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden. So lots of arty things in May.
What I ate:
Korean fried chicken in New Malden at Chick and Beers. Snacks and pizza at The Parrot in Forest Green. A Dishoom takeaway at home. A Sunday roast at Jeremy Clarkson's The Farmer's Dog (bang average, if you were wondering - go for the experience, not the food). And street food at Mercato Metropolitano.
What I watched:
TV shows: Finished watching season 4 of Scrubs, Michael Jackson: An American Tragedy and Saturday Live Night UK, plus watched season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters and started watching season 1 of The Pitt. Films watched: Roofman, The Devil Wears Prada, Send Help, The Devil Wears Prada 2 (at the cinema), Project Hail Mary and The Running Man (2025).
What I read:
In May I read ten books. I gave a five star rating to Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler. Plus four stars to Katabasis by R.F. Kuang, The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson, You Are Here by David Nicholls and Death Comes to Marlow by Robert Thorogood. An excellent reading month! x
