What happened:
Pretty quiet month in February - catch ups with friends and family, and made a trip to the Design Museum to explore the Barbie exhibition and the Tim Burton exhibition. That's about it!
I then had a work trip to Leeds and one to the States. It was Philly, as usual, but I did get to spend the Sunday in NYC, which was excellent. Went up Summit One Vanderbilt in the fog, saw Death Becomes Her on Broadway (so zany and fab), and walked the High Line, to name the main things. (Blog at some point, of course!) Philly was work but, interestingly - and alarmingly - my plane got struck by lightning on the way home. Eek! And then we were diverted to Manchester because of a Heathrow shut down. Easily the worst flight I've ever had in my entire life.
What I ate:
In London: A yum dinner at Kapara, brunch at Icon, roasts at The Aperfield Inn and Wych Elm, average dinners at Ave Mario and Tampopo, and a super tasty Turkish feast at Kebir. In Düsseldorf, ramen and katsu curry from Takumi Chicken and Veggie, and dinner at Vossen where I had a locally prepared rump steak - a Düsseldorfer Senfrostbraten - and Olly had schnitzel. Both tasty! In Leeds, takeaway from Mommy Thai and lunch at Bundobust.
In NYC, dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner (average but it's all about the Broadway songs!), a fab bagel from bagel.market (pictured above), a yum lunch at Chote Maya, cookies from Schmackary's and drinks at the Hard Rock Hotel. In Philly, a disappointing steak frites at Urban Farmer, breakfasts at Coco Grille and work, lunch at Molly Malloys in Reading Terminal Market (and work), and dinners at Talula's Garden (one of the best I've had in Philly - pictured above), Spice Finch and a hotel Shake Shack delivery. Drinks at The Logan (downstairs in the lobby and also at the Assembly Rooftop Lounge, which has a fab view), SkyHigh at The Four Seasons, Good Dog and El Techo.
What I watched:
TV shows: Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, season 2 of Silo and started watching season 3 of The White Lotus. Films watched: You're Cordially Invited, The Beach, The Gorge, Argylle, A Real Pain, Emilia Perez and Conclave.
What I read:
In February I read 7 books. I rated The Day of the Jackal by Frederick Forsyth as a four star read. And in March I read 5 books. Nothing stood out that month. x
