TMTW: January 2022

What happened:
Not much! January was all about preparing for the move and sorting out furniture, plus catching up with friends. But a very quiet month, really. (I have no decent photos from this month either, so forgive the below!)

What I ate:
Brunch at Flotsam & Jetsam (my huevos rancheros was a strong choice; Olly's pick less so), dinner at Cicchetti & Wine, the triple nom Almost Famous kit at home, the best of 2021 tasting menu at Six at Nico, fish and chips from Fishcoteque, lunch at Wagamama and takeaway from Zia Lucia and Kricket.

What I watched:
TV shows: Started watching The Masked Singer, The Green Planet, Foundation and season 3 of Community, plus watched season 5 and 6 of Superstore.

Films watched: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Suicide Squad, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Wrath of Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Matrix Revolutions, Don't Look Up, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Batman, Batman Returns, The Greatest Showman, The Martian, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, 50 First Dates, The Dark Knight Rises, Encanto and Monster Hunter.

At the cinema: The Matrix Resurrections (dire), The King's Man (decent) and Belfast (great).

What I read:
In January I read 25 books and I gave a 5* rating to The Beloved Girls by Harriet Evans, with 4* ratings for: The Bone Shard Emperor by Andrea Stewart, The Crusader's Cross by Scott Mariani, The Most Fun We Ever Had by Claire Lombardo, the Washington Poe series by M.W. Craven, Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian, False Witness by Karin Slaughter, The Wych Elm by Tana French and If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha.

How's 2022 going? x
