TMTW: May 2021

What happened:
Got my hair cut for the first time since December 2019(!), investigated Invisalign, went to Yorkshire to see my brother's family (for the first time since October 2019!!) and my parents (December 2019!), had our first jabs (Team Pfizer), and went to Kent for the bank holiday weekend.

What I ate:
We enjoyed restaurant DIY kits from Almost Famous (excellent, as always; pictured below), Empire Biryani (yum) and Pizza Pilgrims (as epic as last year's; their dough is incredible), had a tasty Burger & Beyond brunch takeaway, and I ate out at Mai Thai Deli with Jasmin (starters pictured below) and The Kentish Rifleman with Olly and his mum.

What I watched:
TV shows watched: Finished season 2 of For All Mankind (slow to begin with, it only got good at the end of the penultimate episode), plus watched Tutankhamen with Dan Snow, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (so cute), Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends: Off-Off Broadway, Friends: The Reunion and started watching The Masked Dancer.

Films watched: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, The Wolf of Wall Street, Tenet, 27 Dresses, Dodgeball, The Devil Wears Prada, Always Be My Maybe, Rambo: Last Blood, Second Act, 500 Days of Summer and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

What I read:
In May I read 26 books. Two rare 5* ratings from me for Pretty Things by Janelle Brown and Shuggie Bain by Douglas Stuart, plus 4* ratings for Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo and Mrs Everything by Jennifer Weiner.

How was your May? x
